Restaurant Brands beat third-quarter sales estimates October 29, led by Burger King US comparable sales up 8.4% in the quarter ended September 30. Whopper Wednesday, 2 for $5, and 3 for $7 deals plus new drinks like matcha pulled in diners who might otherwise eat at home. Overall company comparable sales rose 3.8%, beating the 3.25% analysts expected, while Popeyes comparable sales fell 2.2%. Burger King is still spending up to $700 million through 2028 on remodels and kitchen tech. Bo's take: Deals bring people through the door — the food has to keep them there.
