Ground cinnamon recalled for lead — Texas on the list, check the jar

SLR Food Distribution recalled Wise Wife Brand Ground Cinnamon on October 29 after a Connecticut lab sample tested high for lead. The jar is 110 grams (3.88 ounces), clear plastic with a black screw-top cap, UPC 0688474302754, best before 4/25/2027, sold in 14 states including Texas between September 8, 2025, and June 28, 2026. No illnesses have been reported, and the company says throw it away or return it for a full refund. Bo's take: Check the jar, not just the brand — this is a different Wise Wife jar than last year's recall.
